      Oh it’s different, yeah that excuses it being crappy and all the idiotic decisions they made with it, yep, that excuses everything. Being different is not an excuse for a crappy product. And the game IS crappy, and this is comming from a huge fane of the franchise.

        I’ll give you two meat, eat one raw and eat the other cooked. They are the same, but different at the same time.

        Yeah, they made a horrible job with the base game. Adding an open-world mechanic isn’t a horrible idea, but the way they executed it is freaking horrible.

        At least for me, Empires and Xtreme Legends are always better than the base game…

    The game works fine! Just be sure to download the fix! The only thing is the gamepad is not working!!!! (BE AWARE)

    If I find a fix, or somebody post one I will repost the link for everyone.

      OK, figured that how to resolve the gamepad issue:

      1. Add DW9Emp as non-steam game in steam and name the game as DW9
      >>2. In steam setting controller general controller setting, tick guide button focuses steam and xbox configuation support
      3. In steam DW9 page, rebind the button for gamepad
      4. Run steamclient_loader,exe

    ‘Tis the season to play actually good games for a chance.

    DW9 wasn’t more “horrible” than any of the different things Koei has tried since DW4. DW9 Empires may be better or worse than DW8E, but since PC users didn’t get to fully enjoy any “Empires” spin-offs before DW8E (except using emulation) I’ll still try it out either way.

    on your anti-virus software extension White list

    >>>>1. Under games add a non-steam game browse steamclient_loader add selected program
    2. Rename game to DW9Emp in steam
    >>>>3. Plug in controller. Steam Settings Controller General Controller Settings Tick Xbox Configuration Support

    Guy’s I figured out a fix!!! Before following “gesquires” steps make sure to go into the program properties for “DW9EMP” & “Steamclient_loader” and tick the box that says “Unblock” these files

    It will allow the settings you use to actually go through!

    I got it to work im excited asf!

    I copied the fix files into the game folder, and also opened as administrator, then I clicked the unblock button on the DW9EMP & Steamclient_loader.exe, and it still does not work. It crashes when I try to launch the game.
